Safe, Long-Term Oilfield Waste Management
With approximately 3,600 companies active in Alberta requiring waste management and a small number of service providers, demand is exceeding capacity in many regions. Deepwell intends to satisfy growing demand in Alberta by supplying additional waste management options for area producers.

Deepwell's facilities are located in areas with an increasing number of producing oil and natural gas wells, generating growing volumes of waste fluids. Deepwell's facilities are "right-sized" or built appropriate to the scale of the region's waste management needs. Our strategically located facilities are easily accessible from major roads, reducing unloading time and the associated costs. Deepwell has developed and implemented a workplace health and safety management system and met the standard for Partnerships in Health and Safety through an independent evaluation – in 2007, Deepwell received its Certificate of Recognition for health and safety.

Secure Waste Management
Deepwell's Oilfield Waste Management Facilities use a combination of heat, time and pressure to separate waste into disposable waste water and solids. From produced water, emulsion, drilling fluids and frac fluids, to tank-bottom sludge and contaminated soil, Deepwell's state-of-the-art facilities can handle approximately 25 types of oilfield waste in an efficient, convenient and environmentally sensible manner. Deepwell's facilities are equipped to receive tanker trucks, vacuum trucks and sealed open-top trucks.

Solids and Soils Treatment
Waste streams are processed into three components: water, solids and oil. Water is clarified and filtered before injection into a disposal well. Solids are dried out, analyzed against acceptance criteria and then transported to an oilfield landfill for disposal. The quantity of residual oil recovered from processing varies depending on the composition of the waste. Any recovered oil is treated to meet standard crude specifications and then delivered to a pipeline.

Produced Water and Waste Water Disposal
Deepwell's Class lb disposal wells provide permanent storage for all produced water, waste water and a variety of other oilfield fluids once it is clarified and filtered.

Emulsion Treatment
Deepwell's facilities provide custom emulsion treatment to remove any water and solids. The remaining produced water is clarified and filtered again, then injected into our disposal well.

Tank Washing
Whether our clients are using a tank truck or a 400bbl tank, Deepwell's washing system can keep equipment operating contaminant free. This service is offered at our facilities in the field which results in quick turnaround times. Waste water, solids and residual oil leftover after tank washing are further processed in our system.
